Please let us remind you that the process may take up to eight weeks therefore we do suggest that you apply as soon as possible.
Please see the front office staff to find out more about the 3 step process.
Dear Families,
With the school year well underway we are almost into the full swing of things!
It is interesting to look at some of the statistics of who makes up Rosary School… 66% of our children are members of the Catholic faith, with our next biggest group being 5% Greek Orthodox.
Nearly 96% of children in our school were born in Australia but we have 20 other cultural backgrounds.
The School Board and Parents and Friends will be using a newsletter based Annual General Meeting. AGM’s are held to give the opportunity for the Board and P&F to report to its community, giving an account of the tasks it has undertaken on behalf of the community. We will be using a newsletter based AGM in an effort to report to all families.
The format this year will include the following: AGM reports – all reports will be published in the newsletter during week 7 (Thursday March 12th).
This section consists of reports from the Chairperson, Principal, Parish, P&F and Treasurer/Bursar (including a summary of the budget for the coming year).
26th February 2020
Please join us to mark the beginning of Lent at our Ash Wednesday Mass to be held at Rosary Church, 9:30am.
Everyone welcome!
A letter was sent home this week to all families inviting you to participate in a survey.
This research that Rosary school is part of, will provide us with clarity in the understanding of these attitudes and how we can support children and families.
If you did not receive this letter, please below for the link.
COMMUNICATION
In our first Newsletter this year, we provided an overview of our various communication platforms and their individual purposes.
The Parents and Friends host a Rosary Families Facebook page. This page is for current and past parents of students of Rosary school.
This group is not an official part of the school, but is a forum for catching up on school life and getting to know other Rosary families.
The page often advertises second hand uniform sales and it is a great page to share information through posts and questions, no question is too silly – we have all been there!
In posting comments please respect other group members and the Rosary Community, in particular, please do not post comments about matters that should be brought to the schools’ attention in the first instance. If in doubt please contact the administrator before posting.
I would like to update you on the situation regarding coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and the current Federal Government health advice that we are following.
This week the Federal Government announced it will extend the travel ban on foreign nationals who have recently been in mainland China for a further week from 15 February 2020 to protect Australians from the risk of coronavirus.
